Stephanie manages a diverse corporate and transactional practice, working with energy and other clients in Canada and internationally to support all aspects of their business, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, securities and regulatory compliance, joint ventures and commercial arrangements, and board and governance matters. Stephanie serves on the firm’s executive committee and is an officer in the International Bar Association.
Throughout each stage of a transaction, from strategic discussion to deal completion, Stephanie is actively involved, often coordinating the roles across a large team of advisers in many jurisdictions and managing the government and partner approval processes. Her transactional experience extends beyond Canada and the United States to Australia, Turkey, Argentina, Africa, China, Colombia, Brazil, Ireland, the Netherlands and other jurisdictions.
At the board level, Stephanie is a trusted advisor for directors and management teams on best practices for governance, fiduciary duties, disclosure, compliance and investigations, corporate ethics, ESG, and other matters.

Before relocating to Calgary, Stephanie practised environmental and natural resource law in Denver, Colorado, where she worked on a broad range of U.S. legal matters in the natural resources, environmental, regulatory and corporate practice. Stephanie clerked for Stephen Trott, a well-known federal appellate judge in the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, where she advised on complex federal cases.
Stephanie is a Senior Officer of the Section on Energy, Environment, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Law (SEERIL) and former Chair of the Oil and Gas Committee of the International Bar Association. She is also a member of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators and the Natural Resources Canada Advisory Committee for the Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act.
Stephanie is a former director of the Ability Society of Alberta and is an active volunteer in her community.
