Torys #1 in Canadian issuer debt in LSEG FY 2024 league table

LSEG has ranked Torys number 1 in All Canada Debt by deal volume in its Issuer Legal Advisor table that is a part of its FY 2024 Global Capital Markets Legal Review.

Torys was ranked top of the table after completing 23 deals in FY 2024.

Notable deals completed in 2024 include:

• British Columbia Investment Management Corporation, in respect of the assets of the Combined Funds which it holds in trust, in a C$1.5 billion private placement of 3.40% senior unsecured notes, Series 2, due 2030
• BMO Capital Markets, CIBC Capital Markets, RBC Dominion Securities, Scotia Capital, TD Securities and the syndicate of agents in Ford Credit Canada Company's C$1 billion private placement of senior unsecured notes, including C$550 million of 5.581% notes and C$450 million of 5.668% notes
• TD Securities, CIBC Capital Markets, RBC Capital Markets, Scotia Capital, BMO Capital Markets and Desjardins Securities and the syndicate of agents in RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust’s C$700 million private placement of senior unsecured debentures, including C$500 million of 4.623% Series AL debentures and C$200 million of 4.004% Series AM debentures
