Cornell Wright appointed to Board of Trustees of the American College of Governance Counsel

We are delighted to announce that partner Cornell Wright has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the American College of Governance Counsel.

The American College of Governance Counsel is a professional body of acclaimed lawyers whose achievements in the area of governance are renowned.

Cornell is one of three Fellows added to the Board of Trustees, whose appointment is effective from January 2021.

Cornell—who is a member of Torys’ Executive Committee, is also Chair of our Corporate Department and is the former co-head of the firm’s M&A Practice—focuses his practice on M&A transactions, both public and private, and other critical situations. He regularly counsels boards of directors and board committees on corporate governance matters, crisis management and shareholder engagement issues.
