Mukisa supports the firm’s litigation department in developing and implementing eDiscovery best practices, workflows and guidelines to maximize efficiencies and reduce client costs.

Before Torys, Mukisa was a staff lawyer at PATH Legal, working in Plaintiff-side personal injury litigation and class actions and advocating for equity and equality within the justice system. She also coordinated Creating Communities of Care, a program supporting Black women facing gender-based violence.
Mukisa is actively engaged in professional and community organizations that complement her practice. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association Nova Scotia Branch Women Lawyers Forum, which promotes women’s stature and influence in the legal profession, and a Board Member of the Canadian Blue Wellness Association.
Mukisa is also a founder of Fem Entity, a wellness and professional development platform, where she has leveraged her legal expertise to guide strategic growth and support underserved communities. Her leadership role with Fem Entity demonstrates her dedication to fostering equity and accessibility in both business and legal spheres. She often engages in public speaking at conferences and symposiums on topics of equity and business acumen. She brings a rich perspective and dedication to diversity and inclusion to her practice at Torys.
