Government of Canada selects the Canadian National Energy Alliance as the preferred bidder to manage and operate Canadian Nuclear Laboratories

On June 26, 2015, The Honourable Greg Rickford, Canada's Minister of Natural Resources, announced that the Government of Canada selected the Canadian National Energy Alliance ("CNEA") as the preferred bidder to manage and operate Canadian Nuclear Laboratories ("CNL"), a subsidiary of Atomic Energy of Canada Limited ("AECL").

CNL is Canada’s premier nuclear science and technology organization, and a world leader in developing nuclear technology for peaceful and innovative applications. It is contracted by AECL to manage and operate its sites and facilities across the country.
Canadian National Energy Alliance is a group of experienced nuclear engineering and management firms, including CH2M HILL Canada Limited, Fluor Government Group - Canada, Inc., EnergySolutions Canada Group LTD., SNC-Lavalin Inc., and Rolls-Royce Civil Nuclear Canada Ltd.
AECL is a federal Crown corporation whose mandate is to enable nuclear science and technology and to protect the environment by fulfilling the government of Canada’s radioactive waste and decommissioning responsibilities.
