Alina’s practice focuses on litigation and dispute resolution.
While pursuing her law degree, Alina was awarded the Ronald J Rolls’ 58 Q.C. Prize for highest standing in Legal Process.
Alina worked as a legal intern for the Feminist Advocacy Clinical Program at the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic, where she assisted with a wide range of immigration and outreach initiatives and helped prepare a United Nations submission on violence against women during COVID-19. She also volunteered at an immigration law firm as part of Pro Bono Students Canada.
During law school, Alina was recognized for her oral advocacy by placing first in the Dentons Cup Negotiation Competition. She later placed first at the Canadian National Negotiation Competition and represented Canada at the International Negotiation Competition.
Alina was a Dean’s Fellow for Legal Process with Professor Paul Vayda. She was also actively involved in the student community as co-president of the Muslim Law Students’ Association and a senior editor for the Osgoode Hall Law Journal.
She currently helps teach a course at Osgoode Hall Law School on legal advocacy through negotiation.
