With broad experience in complex commercial litigation and regulatory matters, Chris Caparelli brings nuanced perspective to his work advising clients on disputes and transactions across a range of industries.
Chris maintains an active litigation and dispute resolution practice, with experience in complex commercial cases, including in the areas of contract, antitrust and competition, corporate governance, employment and intellectual property. He has appeared at the trial and appellate levels of numerous federal and state courts, in arbitration, and in agency proceedings. He also provides U.S. privacy and data security support across transactional, advisory and data breach response matters across all sectors. In addition, Chris’s experience extends to white collar defense and internal investigations.
Across a range of industries, Chris also regularly advises on the U.S. regulatory aspects of transactions, including in respect of antitrust, foreign investment review (CFIUS), economic and trade sanctions, anti-corruption and anti-money laundering.
Before joining Torys, Chris clerked for the Honorable Mary M. Schroeder of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior to law school, Chris was an aerospace engineer.
