Max’s practice focuses on corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions. He has been involved in M&A transactions, private placements and public equity and debt offerings.
Max also advises public company clients on ongoing corporate governance matters.
While completing his JD, Max was presented with the Davies, Ward, Phillips & Vineberg LLP Prize, awarded to the student achieving the highest standing in the combined courses of Commercial Law, Business Associations, Securities Regulation and Taxation. Max was also presented with the Fogler Rubinoff LLP Prize, awarded to the student achieving the highest standing in a business law intensive program.
While completing his MBA, Max was presented with the Graduate Business Council Bronze Medal, awarded to the student with the third highest standing in the graduating class of 2020.
In law school, Max worked as a senior summer intern at Navigator Ltd., where he assisted with crisis response strategies for its institutional clients. He also worked as a summer intern at Kingsdale Advisors, where he developed takeover bid playbooks and provided advisory services to shareholders in preparation for annual and special meetings. Max also volunteered as a caseworker at Osgoode’s Investor Protection Clinic, where he provided pro-bono legal advice to clients who believe they suffered an investment loss as a result of wrongdoing.
