Michael’s practice focuses on securities law, with an emphasis on domestic and cross-border securities offerings and Canadian securities regulation. He has represented both issuers and investments banks in a wide range of public equity and debt offerings and private placements.
Michael also regularly provides guidance to public company clients on regulatory compliance, disclosure issues and securities law matters.

Before joining Torys, Michael worked as a summer intern with a former MPP. He was also a student border services officer with the Canada Border Services Agency.
While in law school, Michael was an editor for the Law Review Journal. He also worked as a teaching assistant at the Rotman School of Management and a caseworker for Downtown Legal Services.
Michael is an active volunteer with the Laws in Action Within Schools (“LAWS”) mentoring program, a high school program that uses legal education as a tool to assist students to succeed in school and become engaged and active citizens.
