Bilal’s practice focuses on all areas of domestic and international income tax law, including private equity transactions, corporate reorganizations, financings, public debt and equity offerings, and mergers and acquisitions.
During law school, Bilal helped start-ups and emerging business owners draft agreements at the Business Venture Clinic. As an executive of the University of Calgary’s Diversity and Law Society, Bilal spearheaded mentorship programs and speaker panels that brought together law students from the University of Calgary, Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Bilal also worked at Birchcliff Energy as a Legal Research Assistant (Law Student).
Prior to law school, Bilal worked as an accountant and analyst in various industries.
