Scott works as a lawyer with Torys’ Knowledge and Innovation team. He brings a practical, solutions-oriented, approach to his practice with a focus on providing strategic insights and tools to simplify complex legal issues and create operational efficiencies. Scott works collaboratively with a wide-range of practice groups and other stakeholders to refine existing knowledge systems and develop and integrate new resources.
Prior to joining Torys, Scott worked as a staff lawyer at a leading Canadian non-profit organization focused on improving legal protections for animals. There, he appeared before various levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada, assisted with groundbreaking legislative initiatives, and participated as a lecturer and panelist at various academic events and conferences. Scott remains actively involved in the animal welfare community in Toronto.
Scott began his legal career practicing commercial real estate law at another full-service Toronto law firm.
