With a strong background in civil and commercial litigation, Erica brings substantial experience representing clients in the financial services industry and other market participants in complex and significant disputes.
Erica is a skilled litigator with a broad practice representing financial services companies in state and federal litigation, including class actions. She regularly represents clients in an array of contract matters, including litigating claims arising under banking, fair lending, collection, deceptive trade practices, payments, and privacy laws. She also has substantial experience responding to subpoenas.
In addition to her in-depth litigation experience, Erica handles pre-litigation advice, investigations and due diligence and counsels her clients on various commercial contract and business tort matters with a focus on risk mitigation and dispute preparedness.
Erica also has extensive experience in bankruptcy litigation, real estate litigation, commercial contract disputes, business litigation, and state and federal appellate litigation, regularly appearing as counsel in federal and state courts at both trial and appellate levels. Erica is particularly adept at advising during high-stakes crisis management situations.

Before joining Torys, Erica was a partner at the New York office of an AmLaw100-ranked national law firm. Erica previously served as in-house counsel at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and held an executive position as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of its Home Lending Litigation division.
